Yesterday several members of the commercial real estate industry attended a meeting of the California Commission on Disability Access (CCDA) where the five year strategic plan was discussed.  The Commission was urged to continue building on the reform successes of the past few years, to find ways to minimize unnecessary lawsuits, continue working with the business community to assure access is expanded in ways that make sense, and encourage the federal government to adopt some of the reforms that California has implemented.  We attended to make sure the Commission knows that the business community is interested, engaged, and paying close attention to these important issues.
