Never heard of the California Pollution Control Financing Authority (CPCFA)?  Not many people have.  However, State Treasurer Bill Lockyer is working on a program that may be very beneficial to your building.  In an effort to provide low cost loans to businesses, the Authority is in the process of launching the California Energy/Environmental Efficiency Loan Participation Program.

The CPCFA received approximately $84 million from the U.S. Department of the Treasury to support this program.  They will issue a request for proposals (RFP) to solicit lenders with private sources of capital in providing at least $40 million to create a pool of funds ($50 million) to fund these loans. If you are interested in helping to shape this program or have particular programmatic expertise, please let us know and/or check out what is happening at this website.
