CBPA is a member of the “The Fix Our Roads Coalition,” a group that includes cities, counties, labor, business and transportation advocates, which issued a statement in  response to Governor Brown’s transportation package that reads in part:

“We want to thank the Governor for his continued leadership and commitment to addressing our massive transportation needs at both the state and local level. The Governor’s budget proposal represents a solid baseline for ramping up discussions toward a hopeful solution in the coming weeks.”

The statement continued, “Over and over nationwide studies rank California’s state highways, streets and roads at the top of the list of Worst Roads in America. California motorists are today spending an average of $762 annually just to fix repairs caused by poor road conditions.”
