BOMA International is encouraging its members to participate in the World Wildlife Fund’s (WWF) 2014 Earth Hour. To take part in the annual initiative, the WWF asks individuals, businesses, organizations and governments around the world to turn off all non-essential lighting for one hour at 8:30 pm local time on Saturday, March 29, 2014. The aim of Earth Hour is to visibly demonstrate a commitment to creating a sustainable future for the planet and to finding solutions to environmental challenges.
Energy efficiency is a key element of smart building management because it positively affects both the environment and operational expenses. By participating in Earth Hour, the commercial real estate industry has the opportunity to demonstrate our continued commitment to sustainable practices.
