Early last month, CBPA co-hosted another very successful Strategic Issues Conference in Napa, California. Ten major business groups brought in their industry leaders to discuss where California is heading and to interact with top policymakers from the Legislature and almost all the major gubernatorial candidates.

Assemblymembers Brian Dahle, Ian Calderon, Tim Grayson, Anna Caballero and Sharon Quirk-Silva attended and laid out their legislative priorities regarding multiple business-related topics.

Darius Anderson, the founder of Platinum Advisors, engaged the group about his efforts founding Rebuild North Bay to help the region recover from devastating wildfires. Political research guru David Binder of David Binder Research, shared fascinating polling numbers to set the stage heading into the 2018 elections.

And finally, gubernatorial candidates Antonio Villaraigosa and John Chiang each had a chance to talk about their goals and priorities, why they are running for governor, and they both took several pointed questions from the assembled business leaders.

Thank you to everyone who was a part of the 2017 Strategic Issues Conference making it a huge success once again! See you in Napa in 2019!
